Who we are
Every reel that leaves our mill began as a carton somebody threw away. We take recovered paper — cartons, offcuts, mixed waste collected across Punjab — and turn it back into containerboard strong enough to be a box again.
MM Paper & Board Mills runs an integrated recycling and papermaking operation on eighteen acres at 8-Km Lahore Road, Sheikhupura. Waste arrives at one end of the site and leaves the other as kraft liner, test liner and fluting, in reels cut to the widths our customers convert on.
We supply the converters who put Pakistan's consumer goods into boxes — including some of the largest packaging groups in the country. That is a demanding customer base, and it is the reason we run the mill the way we do.
About us
Most paper mills treat raw material as something that arrives. Ours is something we sort, grade and store ourselves — which is why the waste yard sits at the centre of the site rather than at the edge of it.
The quality of a recycled liner is decided long before the stock reaches the wire. It is decided in how carefully the incoming bales are separated, how much contamination is pulled out before pulping, and how consistently one delivery matches the last. Our yard is sized to hold enough graded stock that we can keep a grade running to specification instead of running whatever came in that week.
From there the process is conventional and deliberately so: slushing, cleaning, screening, forming, pressing, drying, reeling. No bleaching, no virgin pulp. What varies is control — and control is what a converter is actually buying.

Our products
Everything below is made from 100% recovered fibre. Grammage, burst and crush are specified per order; the ranges shown are what the machine runs.
The corrugated medium — the wave between the two liners. Fluting carries the vertical load of a stacked pallet, so it is judged on crush resistance rather than surface: CMT for the flute itself, CCT for the formed board. Ours is run for consistent caliper so it corrugates cleanly at speed without cracking on the tips.
The recycled facing. Test liner is what most boxes are actually made of — the outer and inner plies that take print, absorb handling and give the board its burst strength. Made on a two-ply former so the top side carries the cleaner stock, it prints and glues predictably across a run.
The heavy end of the range. Where a box has to survive long transit, humid storage or a high stack, the liner has to hold longer fibre and higher burst. This is the grade we run for customers packing appliances, ceramics, fruit for export and anything else where a failed carton costs more than the carton.

From bale to reel
Recovered paper is bought in from collectors across Punjab and brought to the yard by road.
Bales are separated by grade and contamination level, then stacked so each grade can be drawn on independently.
Bales are slushed in water until the fibre separates. No bleaching agents, no virgin pulp.
Staples, plastics, tapes and adhesives are pulled out through cleaners and screens before the stock goes forward.
Cleaned stock is deposited on the wire, where water drains away and the sheet takes shape.
The web is pressed, then carried over steam-heated cylinders until it reaches finished moisture.
Jumbo reels are wound, then slit to the widths each converter runs and weighed for dispatch.
Reels are loaded and delivered — most of our customers are within a few hours of the mill gate.

Sustainability
Recycling is not a programme we bolted on. It is the entire raw material strategy — the mill cannot run without it, and every tonne we ship is a tonne that did not have to come out of a forest.
Run at full capacity, the arithmetic of that is not small.
Calculated at the mill's full 60,000-tonne annual capacity using the standard per-tonne conversion factors for recovered paper: 17 trees, 26,500 litres of water, 4,100 kWh and 2.3 m³ of landfill volume saved for every tonne of paper recycled rather than made from virgin fibre.
Who we supply
Our board goes to converters who test what they buy. Staying on their approved list is the only quality certificate that has ever mattered to us.
